2-21-19 SHORT HILLS: We intended to be in VT until today, but Judy lost a tooth to a gummy vitamin on Tuesday morning so we rushed back to NJ to see the dentist. She has since seen two dentists and is scheduled to begin the process of getting an implant.
Tuesday skies were blue and sunny until late in the day when it became overcast before the ‘massive’ snowstorm predicted for Wednesday. We got about two inches of snow before it turned to freezing rain last night.
This morning everything was glazed with ice, some shrubs and trees were bent to the ground. It’s beautiful, but dangerous to the vegetation. By noon it was 50° and the ice was melting so fast it looked like rain.
The birds have been mobbing the feeders all day.
